Sabrina KatzAdjunct Lecturer

About

As an Industrial Designer, artist, and educator, Sabrina has been contributing to the Chicago design community for nearly 25 years. She seeks to inspire others by living a principle of service and by creating meaningful experiences for stakeholders, be they students, clients, manufacturers, or end users. Sabrina has experience with fast-paced design consultancies, eccentric inventors, small business ownership and management, university educational environments, and the challenges of parenting. She has worked on the development of hundreds of consumer products of varied product types.

Sabrina earned her Master’s Degree in Product Design and Development Management from Northwestern University where she is now an instructor of design and sketching.

Prior to her return to school as a student, Sabrina spent 10 years simultaneously serving as Foundation Master, Instructor, and Internship Coordinator for UIC School of Design. She was an integral part in the development of new drawing curriculum for foundation design students. Additionally, she spearheaded an internship program including an annual Internship Fair.
